WhiteCoat

The objective of this project is to integrate a health tracking feature into the existing WhiteCoat mobile app, allowing users to efficiently manage and monitor their daily health activities. The aim is to support users in achieving their long-term health goals set during onboarding, while also motivating them through incentivized rewards for meeting each goal. Disclaimer: (This is a self initiated project, not in collaboration with WhiteCoat)

We often indulge in unhealthy food and overlook our daily routines to maintain our health and strength. Approximately 60% of Singaporeans are integrating physical activity into their daily routines. Currently, one in every nine Singaporeans has Type 2 diabetes, a condition often associated with obesity and a sedentary lifestyle.

Product Strategy & Design

After completing the research phase, it was time to bring our ideas to life through design. Information Architecture & wireframes were created with the understanding of what user expects and some of the ideation ideas. Next, UI mood boards and styleguide were put together to consolidate a range of creative directions. Then we moved on to designing the UI using the user flows that were created.

Usability Testing & Key Takeaways

Following this, usability testing encompassing both qualitative and quantitative methods was conducted to gauge users' perceptions of the new tracking feature. Objectives were established to ensure users could access and navigate the features effectively. While certain aspects of the new feature were positively received, areas requiring improvement were also identified.

Challenges
On a side note, crafting and ideating the app content was tough because I had to really understand what users want from the research done. I had to think about setting health goals and designing the app layout. The app could be better if there was more research and testing with users to make sure it's easy to use.
